ADSL affected by cable break"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Mweb\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226947-MWeb\">Mweb<\/a> is experiencing a partial loss of international capacity due to a cable break near Marseilles which is affecting the <a title=\"Seacom\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227005-SEACOM\">Seacom<\/a> cable system, the internet service provider (ISP) announced today (26 September).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are currently operating on backup capacity, so you may be experiencing some slowness on international sites and downloads,\u201d Mweb said in its statement.<\/p>\n<p>The ISP said that lower priority traffic such as peer-to-peer downloads will be the most affected.<\/p>\n<p>Mweb said that it would provide an update as soon as they have an estimated time for the repair.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic graphs from another major service provider suggests that their international capacity via Seacom went offline just before
