{"id":60779,"date":"2012-09-27T08:14:47","date_gmt":"2012-09-27T06:14:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=60779"},"modified":"2012-09-27T08:54:27","modified_gmt":"2012-09-27T06:54:27","slug":"myspace-resurrection-assisted-by-timberlake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/60779-myspace-resurrection-assisted-by-timberlake.html","title":{"rendered":"Myspace resurrection assisted by Timberlake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"MySpace\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/384023-MySpace\">MySpace<\/a>, the once-mighty social network-turned entertainment site, is trying to stage yet another comeback with the help of Justin Timberlake.<\/p>\n<p>The company posted a video this week that teases the &#8220;New Myspace&#8221; and lets people sign up for invitations to join.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the video, the new site looks a like an entertainment-focused version of <a title=\"Pinterest\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/407093-Pinterest\">Pinterest<\/a>, with a dash of <a title=\"Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/359584-Twitter\">Twitter<\/a> and <a title=\"Facebook\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/348566-Facebook\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Myspace has tried redesigns before, to no avail. It&#8217;s not clear if the makeover will work.<\/p>\n<p>Timberlake, who&#8217;s featured prominently in the video, will likely play a big part in the MySpace revamp. The &#8216;N Sync pop star, with a group of other investors, bought MySpace last year from News Corp. for $35 million, mostly in stock.
