HTC unveiled its new One X+ Android smartphone in a press statement issued today (2 October 2012).<\/p>\n

The device is set to run \u201cHTC Sense 4+\u201d on the latest version of Google\u2019s Android mobile operating system, dubbed version 4.1 or \u201cJelly Bean\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the press release, the HTC One X+ lives up to its name as a version of the HTC One X with a faster processor, longer battery life, and larger internal storage.<\/p>\n

Where the HTC One X launched in South Africa had a 1.5GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, the new One X+ will feature a 1.7GHz Tegra 3.<\/p>\n

It will also have double the storage of its predecessor, at 64GB, and boast a 2,100mAh battery, compared to the original’s 1,800mAh battery.<\/p>\n

Availability<\/h3>\n

The HTC One X+ will be available in Europe and North Asia from October and in South Asia from November 2012. North America will make a separate announcement regarding availability of the HTC One X+.<\/p>\n
