{"id":623829,"date":"2025-12-30T08:15:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T06:15:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=623829"},"modified":"2025-12-30T08:21:01","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T06:21:01","slug":"the-tech-company-which-is-the-worlds-best-performing-stock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/623829-the-tech-company-which-is-the-worlds-best-performing-stock.html","title":{"rendered":"The tech company which is the world&#8217;s best-performing stock"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Artificial intelligence\u2019s insatiable appetite for data storage has delivered Japanese memory chipmaker Kioxia Holdings world-beating stock gains this year, a sign that the AI boom is alive and well despite recent market jitters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kioxia\u2019s shares have risen around 540% year-to-date, outperforming all other members of the MSCI World Index and making it the top stock in Japan\u2019s Topix benchmark for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NAND flash memory maker, which only debuted on the Tokyo Stock Exchange last December, counts Apple and Microsoft among its clients and is now worth about \u00a55.7 trillion ($36 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kioxia\u2019s stratospheric climb illustrates the tech industry\u2019s booming demand for memory as hyperscalers rush to build out AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chips like Kioxia\u2019s are essential for AI training and data centers.
