According to the article, there is also no word of plans for an 80GB version of the console in Europe. <\/p>\n<p>Previously Melanie Castle-Peyper from Ster-Kinerkor Games &#8211; the local distributor &ndash; said that they have no clear indication as to whether the upgraded version of PS3 will be launched in South Africa. <\/p>\n<p>Ster Kinekor were unable to provide any feedback about local price cuts yet, but with Europe&rsquo;s PS3 prices staying stable it is unlikely that local gamers will benefit from the US price reductions.<\/p>\n<p>The price for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playstation.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">Playstation 3<\/a> has been R 6 699 &ndash; or US 933 &ndash; since its launch.
