Google<\/a> officially announced the new Nexus smartphone on Monday (29 October 2012) in spite of hurricane Sandy causing the search giant to postpone its launch event.<\/p>\n

Though there were few surprises thanks to the many leaks leading up to the eventual unveiling, the device, its maker (LG<\/a>), and its specifications are finally official.<\/p>\n

Along with a new set of Nexus devices, which include a 10-inch tablet from Samsung<\/a>, Google also kept up the tradition of announcing a new version of Android<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Android 4.2 will still be called \u201cJelly Bean\u201d (as Android 4.1 is), but is set to include features such as multi-user support, Photo Sphere, and gesture-based typing.<\/p>\n

The table below shows how the specifications of some of the high-end Android smartphones compare to one another, including the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC<\/a> One X.<\/p>\n
