MTN Pi’s mobile service uses eSIM, whereas the Home Internet packages require a physical SIM.

Mobile package prices range from R99 for 5GB to R399 for 80GB. Subscribers can add a voice minute bundle ranging from R79 for 300 minutes to R199 for 2,000 minutes.

MTN Pi’s mobile services are reminiscent of the operator’s MyMTN Choice packages, which are also data-focused products that allow customers to bolt on voice and SMS bundles.

For its home broadband packages, MTN Pi offers products ranging from R399 per month for 200GB at a maximum speed of 25Mbps, to R699 for 1TB at best-effort 5G speeds.

MTN said that Pi customers will receive family discounts, with up to 20% off when you add multiple mobile or Home Internet lines for their families.

The Home Internet package is not locked to a specific location. For example, subscribers can take their router if they go on holiday and use their connection anywhere MTN has coverage.

In addition to specials on Pi packages, MTN is offering promotional prices on selected 5G routers, including the ZTE G5TS 5G Router from R499 and the Huawei 5G CPE from R999.

MTN Pi offers an alternative to the mobile operator’s SuperFlex suite of month-to-month products that offer customers unlimited calling and SMS with a monthly data allocation.

“Pi combines the agility of a digital-first service with the scale and reliability of MTN’s network,” said Ernst Fonternel, Chief Consumer Officer: Postpaid and Home, at MTN South Africa.

“It allows customers to enjoy a simple, flexible connectivity experience while benefiting from the coverage and performance of one of the country’s most trusted networks.”

The tables below summarise the MTN Pi mobile data, voice add-on, and Home Internet offerings.

MTN Pi mobile data packages

MTN Pi mobile data packages

Price

5GB*

R99*

10GB*

R149*

20GB*

R199*

40GB

R299

80GB

R399

* On promotion for R1 per month for the first three months

MTN Pi mobile voice add-on

MTN Pi mobile voice add-ons

Price

300 minutes

R79

500 minutes

R129

2,000 minutes

R199

MTN Pi Home Internet packages

Data cap

Speed

Price

200GB*

25Mbps*

R399

500GB*

50Mbps*

R499

1TB

Best-effort

R699

*Lower-tier packages get best-effort speeds for the first three months

MTN has launched Pi, a new suite of mobile and Home Internet month-to-month products that customers can manage from a dedicated app.

[14
93629,3610,25855,42,104140
post-637122","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cellular","tag-home-internet","tag-mobile-data","tag-mobile-internet","tag-mtn","tag-mtn-pi
