The SARB confirmed the change via a <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/54500-13-4-SARB-Separate.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/54500-13-4-SARB-Separate.pdf\">notice<\/a> in the Government Gazette on Monday, 13 April 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Financial Surveillance Department at the South African Reserve Bank hereby gives notice that the name of Tyme Bank Limited has changed to GoTyme Bank Limited,&#8221; the SARB said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2025, TymeBank&#8217;s corporate communications head, Pontsho Ramontsha, confirmed that the bank planned to change its name in the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are in the process of evolving our brand to reflect our growth, maturity, and focus on customers across the economic spectrum,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This brand elevation is still being finalised. Once all internal and regulatory processes are complete, we&#8217;ll share the full details.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A purely digital bank, TymeBank launched in South Africa in February 2019.
