{"id":641091,"date":"2026-05-06T15:58:27","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T13:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=641091"},"modified":"2026-05-08T12:39:50","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T10:39:50","slug":"asus-increases-commercial-pc-market-share-by-40-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/641091-asus-increases-commercial-pc-market-share-by-40-in-south-africa.html","title":{"rendered":"Asus increases commercial PC market share by 40% in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Taiwanese computer giant Asus said its share in South Africa&#8217;s commercial PC market had increased by 40% between 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Werner Joubert, Asus South Africa country head, said they now had a 5.2% share in the commercial segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asus also has a 20.39% share of South Africa&#8217;s consumer PC market and an overall market share of 11.54%, per the International Data Corporation (IDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IDC data also showed that South Africa is the largest PC market in the Southern African region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asus said it had affirmed its long-term commitment to the local market through the purchase of its new headquarters in Bryanston last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the current memory and NAND flash shortage caused by the massive demand from AI companies and hyperscalers, Joubert said Asus was ensuring that it manages the impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have the right planning in place to secure available allocation for South Africa to align with our growth plan in 2026.
