Vodacom<\/a> launched two new data deals on 7 November 2012 \u2013 a 5GB for R389 product and a 10GB for R689 bundle.<\/p>\n

The new Vodacom data bundles are available on top-up and standard broadband 24-month contracts, and do not include any device.<\/p>\n

Vodacom is competing against MTN<\/a>, 8ta<\/a>, and Cell C<\/a> for market share in the South African mobile data environment, raising the question as to how the new promotions stack up against competitors.<\/p>\n

Cell C recently launched its Giga 20 data promotion; a 12-month contract deal which provides subscribers with 5GB peak data and 15GB off-peak data at R189 per month.<\/p>\n

8ta is also still running its 10GB data promotion for R199 per month, which is offering customers a very low in-bundle per-GB rate.<\/p>\n
