Axxess said Absolute Hosting would continue operating as an independent business after the acquisition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Axxess was founded by Franco Barbalich in 1997 as a web hosting and design company under the name Axxess Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company later expanded into hardware and business connectivity, and has grown into one of South Africa&#8217;s most recognisable Internet service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Absolute Hosting was founded in 2018 by Jade Benson and provides web services to South African SMEs, including VPS and WordPress hosting, as well as domain registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said it offers South Africa&#8217;s largest selection of AMD EPYC VPS servers and focuses on bringing new hosting technologies to the local market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its infrastructure includes AMD EPYC Turin processors, PCIe 5.0 NVMe storage, DDR5 ECC RAM, and liquid-cooled Ryzen 9 9900X servers for intensive workloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Absolute Hosting&#8217;s services are hosted from Digital Parks Africa&#8217;s tier 3 data centre, and the company also offers two high-performance WordPress hosting packages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Axxess said existing Absolute Hosting customers would see no changes to their contracts, pricing, support arrangements, or service levels following the acquisition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benson will remain managing director of Absolute Hosting, with the existing team continuing to run the company&#8217;s day-to-day operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Part of our strategy for 2026 was to make an acquisition in the hosting industry, to bulk up our hosting revenues and our footprint in South Africa,&#8221; said Axxess CEO Andrew Simpson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simpson said Absolute Hosting had a strong team, a similar culture to Axxess, and a business that both companies could learn from and grow together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Joining the Axxess group is an exciting next step for Absolute Hosting,&#8221; said Benson, reiterating that their existing clients could rest assured that nothing would change for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our focus at Absolute Hosting has always been about bringing the best hosting technology to South African businesses, and this partnership gives us the resources to do that at a greater scale,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re still the same team offering the best technology, supported by the same dynamics and commitment to provide the best web hosting services that our clients have come to love and rely on.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Axxess has acquired Johannesburg-based web hosting company Absolute Hosting as part of its plan to grow its hosting business in South Africa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":644002,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[25],"tags":[77930,1765,4652,77910],"class_list":["post-643999","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cloud-hosting","tag-absolute-hosting","tag-axxess","tag-franco-barbalich","tag-jade-benson"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/643999"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/15"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=643999"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/643999\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":644009,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/643999\/revisions\/644009"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/644002"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=643999"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=643999"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=643999"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
