{"id":64586,"date":"2012-11-13T12:08:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-13T10:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=64586"},"modified":"2012-11-13T12:10:33","modified_gmt":"2012-11-13T10:10:33","slug":"seacom-boosts-reliability-with-second-egypt-route","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/64586-seacom-boosts-reliability-with-second-egypt-route.html","title":{"rendered":"SEACOM boosts reliability with second Egypt route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SEACOM has announced that it has activated the second of its two terrestrial routes across Egypt on 8 November 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis milestone positions SEACOM as the only East Africa cable system having the capability of providing resilience across Egypt to its customers for traffic routed to Europe and the US,\u201d the company said in a press statement.<\/p>\n<p>The activation of the new route follows the activation of the primary route through Egypt on 22 January 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustomers are now protected against any disruptions to the primary route across Egypt with an alternate route.
