<\/em><\/strong>A Japanese company has started selling edible iPhone cases.<\/p>\n

The Survival Senbei edible iPhone 5 case is made out of a crispy golden-brown senbei<\/em> rice cracker, which is moulded to the shape of Apple<\/a>\u2019s smartphone.<\/p>\n

The Japanese artist, Mariko, came up with the idea by trying to get the senbei<\/em> rice cracker snack – which is associated with the older generation – to appeal to a younger crowd.<\/p>\n

The cases cost 3,818 yen (R420), but delivery could take up to a month, as Mariko explains: \u201cI can make about three good ones a day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Customers are also warned that the Survival Senbei case is incredibly fragile and should be handled with the utmost care.<\/p>\n
