Cape Town-based startup Shiprazor announced a partnership with Takealot Fulfilment Solutions (TFS), the arm of the e-commerce giant that specialises in 30-minute deliveries, on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier in May, Shiprazor received a R44 million investment from venture fund Norrsken22 to drive its logistics facilitation business. It has now onboarded TFS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merchants on the startup’s platform can now offer rapid deliveries within a pre-determined delivery radius thanks to TFS and its hyperlocal logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Started by Indian-born entrepreneur Sahil Affriya<\/a>, Shiprazor is the culmination of years of work in the digital logistics and e-commerce industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His first startup, called Mechanic Card, connected tier 1 and tier 2 manufacturers directly to mechanics in India and served as an aggregator and customer experience platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to this, Affriya focused on his education, including a Master of Technology degree in Software Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights from the Indian Institute of Human Rights and an MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affriya and his company designed a platform in which merchants can choose from a number of service providers, from The Courier Guy to Fastway, to facilitate their precise shipment and logistics needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our job is to be the single intelligent logistics layer that helps South African merchants ship more, for less, while giving their customers a better experience at every step,” said Affriya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norrsken22 said that the company is building the intelligent infrastructure layer that merchants in South Africa and Africa may have been missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“And they’re doing it with a deep understanding of how this market actually works,” said Nivesh Pather, investments principal at Norrsken22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affriya told us that his choice for starting an e-commerce startup in South Africa was influenced by the country’s e-commerce ecosystem, which he said was the fastest-growing globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service providers onboarded to Shiprazor benefit from the startup handling additional support functions in their place, such as customer support and liability protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They get an extra layer of customer support from us. We become the first filter of any kind of query that comes out, and we get a one-to-one solution with them,” Affriya said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Providers make the sale and provide the delivery logistics, with Shiprazor providing additional management support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-commerce merchants on Shiprazor can now add TFS on Demand as their logistics provider if they need to make fast deliveries in certain areas in South Africa, including urgent orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With a robust driver network and rapid dispatch capabilities, the platform enables eCommerce brands to fulfil time-sensitive customer orders seamlessly,” Shiprazor said in an announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As customer expectations continue to shift toward faster and more convenient fulfilment,  eCommerce businesses are increasingly looking for logistics infrastructure that supports quick commerce.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company simplified the process for merchants to access TFS services. It also offered reduced costs to customers through “very high preferred rates” secured from partner logistics firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takealot Group launched TFS<\/a> in July 2025 to hold the group’s logistics, courier, on-demand, supply chain and international freight capabilities under one roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“TFS is a transformative service designed to empower businesses, improve delivery experiences for consumers, and connect communities in meaningful ways,” said Takealot Group CEO Frederik Zietsman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shiprazor said that its merchants gain access to same-hour delivery capabilities, real-time shipment tracking, and improved customer experience for quick commerce use cases through TFS’s onboarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The startup said that the integration is particularly relevant for e-commerce businesses operating in categories where speed and convenience impact conversion and retention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These include categories such as retail, beauty and personal care, fashion, electronics and pharmacy goods and medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affriya told MyBroadband that his end goal is to provide every South African with the technology to easily start their own e-commerce business by facilitating logistics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
