it said.

There could be several reasons for the growing demand for fuel-powered generators in South Africa, despite the lack of load shedding.

One possibility is that households and businesses without solar power that frequently experience lengthy localised power outages may be buying generators to keep their lights on.

This could include households and businesses in regions where load reduction is implemented, through which Eskom cuts power for several hours at peak demand times to reduce strain on local networks.

Another possibility is that households and businesses with a grid-tied solar system could be buying generators to help them move entirely off-grid at a lower cost than upgrading their panels and batteries.

[19
105501,98339,11165,48152,102108,22711,23406,10412,60673,52809,995
post-649881","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","tag-airfryers","tag-apple-iphones","tag-e-commerce","tag-iphones","tag-karla-levick","tag-laptops","tag-lego","tag-online-shopping","tag-samsung-smartphones","tag-smart-tvs","tag-takealot
