Dollar figures from ASP Isotopes’ recent results have been converted to rands using the exchange rate at the time.

Total revenue for the quarter reached $4.2 million (R70.5 million), an approximate 282% year-on-year increase from the $1.1 million (R19.9 million) revenue reported for the same period in 2025.

It said the revenue growth was driven by $3.9 million (R67.1 million) in product revenue and $200,000 (R3.4 million) in collaboration revenue.

However, the company also experienced a rapid escalation in expenses and net losses, including a net loss from continuing operations of $26.7 million (R450.4 million).

That was up 214% from the $8.5 million (R153.3 million) net loss it reported in the same period the prior year.

It attributed the rapid escalation to surging operating expenses, which it said increased from $8.3 million (R140.0 million) to $26.6 million (R482.0 million).

Furthermore, despite starting commercial production at its South African facilities in the first half of 2025, ASP Isotopes had yet to generate any revenue from enriched isotope sales as of 31 March 2026.

As of 27 May 2026, it remained in an ongoing legal battle over allegations that it violated laws by making false and misleading statements about its uranium enrichment technology and business prospects.

Analyst views about ASP Isotopes

Jean Pierre Verster, CEO at Protea Capital Management

ASP Isotopes’ share price increased by approximately 33% between Thursday, 21 May 2026 and Tuesday, 26 May.
