Neotel officially launched its NeoFlex data service this week, its first multi-user data-only product offering download speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps.<\/p>\n

Neotel NeoFlex data subscribers have a choice between a 10 GB package for R 699.00 and a 15 GB package for R 899.00.  These prices include the device cost of R 100.00 per month while the 24 month contract can be discontinued without any penalties except for the cost of the device.<\/p>\n

These prices are however higher than Neotel’s NeoConnect service which provides 10 GB of usage, the device cost, 1000 free on-net minutes, 30 free Telkom minutes and 50 free SMSes for R 599.00.  The 15 GB NeoConnect service for R 699.00 provides similar extras and benefits.<\/p>\n

Both of Neotel’s consumer offerings have an out of bundle rate of 8c per MB, significantly lower than Vodacom and MTN’s R 1.20 or Telkom’s 30c.<\/p>\n
