{"id":662499,"date":"2026-08-13T19:30:48","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T17:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=662499"},"modified":"2026-08-13T19:35:57","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T17:35:57","slug":"dstv-stream-customers-report-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/662499-dstv-stream-customers-report-problems.html","title":{"rendered":"DStv Stream customers report problems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Several DStv Stream subscribers reported problems with their service on Thursday evening, saying they were unable to watch live channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One subscriber in South Africa who contacted MyBroadband said they received a CDNAT 500 error when attempting to launch a channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When retrying, a channel sometimes starts playing, but then disconnects. Other times they don&#8217;t work at all, then connect, only to throw an error later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Anyone else\u2019s DStv stream doing this or unyeka nje mna?&#8221; one customer <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Phumlani1106\/status\/2087948493365150196\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> on Twitter, posting a picture showing an error message on their TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their error message stated: &#8220;Whoops! Looks like something went wrong. Please try again later.&#8221; Another customer received an error message in their browser stating that a problem occurred on DStv&#8217;s server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The issues did not seem limited to South Africa, as some customers in Nigeria also reported problems. Two subscribers posted a variant of &#8220;DStv Stream is the worst&#8221;.
