DStv will unveil new colours and branding alongside a total overhaul of its packages<\/a> at a media event at its Randburg headquarters on Monday, 7 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DStv\u2018s operating company in South Africa will unveil a completely restructured lineup of packages, which is set to roll out to customers on 17 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the channel lineup changes, the Monday event featured new black DStv branding. It confirmed the names of the new packages and included the wording \u201cDStv Expect+\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colours and \u201c+\u201d iconography evoke the branding of Canal+, the French media conglomerate that acquired MultiChoice at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the changes are a brand-new standalone package for movies and series, called DStv Movies & Series, and an overhaul of DStv Compact into a standalone sports package called DStv Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is MultiChoice\u2019s single biggest change and content shake-up since it first created different DStv packages in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DStv Compact, available for R399 per month on a streaming-only package, will be transformed into DStv Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will feature SuperSport\u2019s Premier League and UEFA content, PSL, international cricket, local rugby, one URC match per week, and the UFC. It will also retain some entertainment content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DStv Sport will not offer Formula 1, MotoGP, premium international rugby, such as Springbok matches, golf, and ATP tennis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the package changes, DStv will introduce a brand-new Movies & Series product priced below DStv Premium, which will include the pay-TV operator\u2019s flagship M-Net channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be the first time since DStv launched in 1995 that it has made M-Net available on a lower-tier package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from these changes, DStv\u2019s operating company in South Africa plans to reorganise its packages as follows:
