Apple has addressed the issue found in its Maps App which caused concern with the Australian police.<\/p>\n

The error in Apple Maps resulted in travellers getting lost in dangerous areas of the country.<\/p>\n

The problem in question was with regards to the location positions of Mildura and Murray Sunset National Park. Although the two locations are a fair distance away from one another, Apple Maps placed the city of Mildura in the centre of the National Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice are extremely concerned as there is no water supply within the park and temperatures can reach as high as 46 degrees Celsius (114 F), making this a potentially life threatening issue,\u201d the police said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Apple has released an update which fixes the error and places the two locations in the right position.<\/p>\n
