A possible flaw in Microsoft\u2019s Internet Explorer (IE) could allow attackers to track mouse movements.<\/p>\n

“An attacker can get access to your mouse movements simply by buying a display ad slot on any Web page you visit,” warned Spider.io, the security firm which discovered the alleged flaw..<\/p>\n

Spider.io said that the exploit compromises the security of virtual keyboards and keypads, and can track your mouse even if IE isn\u2019t in use.<\/p>\n

“As long as the page with the exploitative advertiser’s ad stays open — even if you push the page to a background tab or, indeed, even if you minimize Internet Explorer — your mouse cursor can be tracked across your entire display,” the security firm said.<\/p>\n

Microsoft is reportedly investigating the problem.<\/p>\n
