Initial indications are that a network fault between <a title=\"Vodafone\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313865-Vodafone-UK\">Vodafone<\/a> and <a title=\"Research in Motion\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/211701-Research-in-Motion\">Research in Motion<\/a> in Europe is to blame for the outage.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous Vodacom BIS subscribers across the country have been complaining that their BlackBerry service has been down since Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Complaints are rolling in on social media channels from <a title=\"BlackBerry\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342709-BlackBerry\">BlackBerry<\/a> users in Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal, the Western Cape and North West province.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Blackberry down AGAIN, annoying,&#8221; said one <a title=\"Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/359584-Twitter\">Twitter<\/a> user. \u00a0&#8220;BB not working, don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;s a problem with the device or with Vodacom,&#8221; said another.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom said on Twitter that they are aware of a BlackBerry connectivity issue in Europe that is affecting services in South Africa. \u00a0&#8220;Engineers are on it. Apologies to all affected,&#8221; Vodacom said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are working closely with Research in Motion (RIM) to restore full service as soon as possible.
