Microsoft<\/a> South Africa recently told MyBroadband that it is still unable to confirm whether the Microsoft Surface<\/a> tablet PC would launch in SA.<\/p>\n

News emerged last week that the Surface with Windows<\/a> 8 Pro would launch in the US and Canada on 9 February 2013.<\/p>\n

This is in-line with previous reports that the Intel-based Surface Pro was expected to launch 90 days after the ARM-based Surface RT became available on 26 October 2012.<\/p>\n

Along with the announcement of the Surface Pro\u2019s launch, Microsoft also revealed that the Surface RT would be available in more countries, but South Africa was not mentioned among the 13 territories.<\/p>\n

Although Microsoft SA said that they do not have further updates with regard to the availability of the Surface in South Africa, they added that they are excited about the devices that are available locally.<\/p>\n
