MTN<\/a> has started advertising fourth generation iPad (iPad 4<\/a>) contracts on its website, with prices beginning at R299 per month.<\/p>\n

All the contracts are over 24-months and include some allotment of data.<\/p>\n

Previously such financed options for buying an iPad were only available through Apple Premium Resellers and\u00a0First National Bank<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The latest iteration of Apple\u2019s tablet PC is similar to its predecessor, the iPad 3, adding a handful of improvements such as a faster processor and support for more Long Term Evolution (LTE<\/a>) networks.<\/p>\n

While MTN does operate an LTE network in a band supported by the iPad 4, and Apple recently switched on support for Vodacom<\/a>\u2019s LTE in the iPhone 5<\/a>, the Apple website still doesn\u2019t list MTN among networks supported for LTE.<\/p>\n

Update:<\/strong> MTN said in a press statement issued today (6 February 2013) that it has been offering these deals since the start of the month, and would announce packages for the iPad Mini “closer to the time of launch.”<\/p>\n
