MultiChoice<\/a> told subscribers after downtime on Monday morning (25 February 2013) that it has added a new transponder to its DStv<\/a> platform to accommodate future services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis process was intended to happen seamlessly without any customer interference,\u201d a MultiChoice spokesperson explained when asked about the downtime caused by the upgrade.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately some of the decoders didn\u2019t automatically acquire the new transponder.\u201d<\/p>\n

The issue has since been addressed, MultiChoice said, and subscribers should be able to continue enjoying their viewing.<\/p>\n

MultiChoice declined to provide any details about the transponder that was added, including which new services it has on the cards.<\/p>\n
