MTN<\/a> reduced the price of its 2GB data contract promotion to R99 per month and introduced a new 1GB promotion for R69 per month on 1 March 2013.<\/p>\n

MTN also launched dongle-inclusive 1GB and 2GB data promotions for R79 per month and R119 per month respectively.<\/p>\n

Although both deals are billed as “promotional”, MTN highlighted that its previous 2GB contract promotion was in the market for around 17 months before being replaced by this new deal.<\/p>\n

This raises the question of how MTN’s new mobile data prices compare with similar products from Vodacom<\/a>, Cell C<\/a> and 8ta<\/a>.<\/p>\n
