{"id":7386,"date":"2009-03-19T17:30:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-19T15:30:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-03-19T17:30:00","modified_gmt":"2009-03-19T15:30:00","slug":"world-s-first-colour-e-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/7386-world-s-first-colour-e-book.html","title":{"rendered":"World&#039;s first colour e-book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fujitsu has launched the world&#8217;s first e-book with a colour display in Japan, the company said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>When used with a separate memory card, the paperback-sized gadget dubbed the &quot;FLEPia&quot; can store the equivalent of 5 000 conventional books.<\/p>\n<p>It weighs 385g, is 12.5m thick and has a 20-centimetre &quot;electronic paper&quot; display that can show 260 000 colours.<\/p>\n<p>Equipped with Bluetooth and high-speed wireless LAN, it can operate 40 hours when fully charged, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Online sales began Wednesday, priced at 99 750 yen (about $1 000).
