MobiRes MD Fraser Gregg is accusing MTN of stealing his intellectual property related to the company\u2019s mobile travel booking product.<\/p>\n

MTN launched its \u2018MTN Traveller\u2019 service in November 2010, with MobiRes serving as its commercial and development partner on the project.<\/p>\n

MTN Traveller is an online mobile booking engine providing accommodation, car rental and airline booking services.<\/p>\n

However, a commercial product was not launched and MTN has now invited proposals from other companies for an MTN Travel Solution.<\/p>\n

The Sunday Times reported that Gregg is aggrieved by MTN\u2019s actions, arguing that it infringes the non-disclosure agreement between the companies, as well as MobiRes\u2019 intellectual property.<\/p>\n

MTN said that they did not use any of MobiRes\u2019 intellectual property, and explained that MobiRes\u2019 failure to produce a commercially ready product forced them to look for other partners.<\/p>\n

\u201cMobiRes has been given ample time by MTN to showcase the product and the pilot, and to date MTN has not been afforded an opportunity to even see a demonstration of such a product,\u201d MTN\u2019s Fusi Mokoena is quoted as saying by the Sunday Times.<\/p>\n
