Following a recent update to the DStv iPad app, MultiChoice<\/a> now lets DStv<\/a> Premium subscribers access its On Demand service from the tablet PC.<\/p>\n

According to MultiChoice, DStv On Demand lets Premium subscribers watch a selection of the most popular shows on DStv at their convenience, for at least seven days after the show was broadcast live on DStv.<\/p>\n

A number of shows will also have more than one episode available at a time, MultiChoice said.<\/p>\n

The DStv On Demand website promises that these new additions to the DStv app are only the beginning, explaining that subscribers can look forward to many other enhancements to both the app and in the mix of content available to watch on the table in the not-too-distant future.<\/p>\n

MultiChoice warns that as with any other video services, content downloaded from DStv On Demand could potentially use up a lot of data.<\/p>\n

While it is possible to use DStv On Demand when connected to 3G or HSDPA, MultiChoice said it is not recommended and strongly encourages subscribers to familiarise themselves with their mobile network operator\u2019s data charges to avoid bill shock.<\/p>\n

“We highly recommend that you access DStv On Demand using a Wi-Fi network, connected to an uncapped ADSL line,” MultiChoice said.<\/p>\n
