Although the 4890 runs at a higher core speed the GTX 285 takes the prize when it comes to memory clock and memory interface.

The GTX 285 runs at 1300MHz as opposed to the 4890’s 1100MHz, and in terms of memory interface the GTX 285 boasts 512-bit in comparison to the 4890’s 448-bit capacity.

If AMD are referring directly to the core clock capacities then yes the 4890 does take the prize as the most powerful graphics processor in the single core range. The statement may however be easily misconstrued by readers to imply that it is indeed the most powerful, fastest GPU in the world. This title is held by the ASUS GeForce GTX 295.

ATI Radeon 4890 – give your views

[15

post-7590","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-hardware
