The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has told MyBroadband that no sensitive data was compromised during a recent hack of the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) website.<\/p>\n

A hacker going by \u201crEd X\u201d purporting to be from Bangladesh, hacked the AARTO website on 24 April 2013 and defaced it to announce the site had been compromised.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson for the RTMC, Ashref Ismail, said that they took the site down shortly after it was hacked and soon returned it to normal.<\/p>\n

According to Ismail they are able to deal with issues very swiftly, but added that they will be taking steps to safeguard the website.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery effort will be made along with the service service provider, Tasima, to ensure this doesn\u2019t happen [in future],\u201d Ismail said.<\/p>\n
