{"id":7850,"date":"2009-04-29T12:19:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-29T10:19:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-04-29T12:19:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-29T10:19:00","slug":"faith-fighter-withdrawn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gaming\/7850-faith-fighter-withdrawn.html","title":{"rendered":"Faith Fighter withdrawn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The creator of the Faith Fighter online game allowing players to stage fights involving Jesus, Mohammed and other prophets said on Tuesday it has withdrawn the game after a Muslim protest.<\/p>\n<p>The game is &#8220;incendiary in its content and offensive to Muslims and Christians,&#8221; a spokesman for the Jeddah-based Islamophobia Observatory of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference said.<\/p>\n<p>Italian game publisher Molleindustria said on its website: &#8220;Today after an official statement from the Organisation of Islamic Conference we decided to remove the game Faith Fighter from our site.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Observatory spokesman said the game would serve no other purpose than to incite intolerance.
