{"id":79389,"date":"2013-06-03T20:42:46","date_gmt":"2013-06-03T18:42:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=79389"},"modified":"2013-06-04T08:30:44","modified_gmt":"2013-06-04T06:30:44","slug":"dstv-hd-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/79389-dstv-hd-change.html","title":{"rendered":"DStv HD change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"MultiChoice\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/216214-MultiChoice\">MultiChoice<\/a> has informed its <a title=\"DStv\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/383647-DStv\">DStv<\/a> subscribers that it will be changing the transmission of its HD DStv channels and services to the latest standard called DVB-S2.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company this change will improve reception, especially during rain storms and create more capacity for future channels and services.<\/p>\n<p>MultiChoice encouraged DStv subscribers to tune into channel 425 to test their system. \u201cIf you see the test slide, it means your decoder and installation is ready for the switch over to DVB-S2,\u201d the company explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you see an error message on this channel &#8211; Signal not found or Connection to the DStv signal is lost &#8211; this means that your installation is not ready for the switch over.
