{"id":80635,"date":"2013-06-20T10:03:25","date_gmt":"2013-06-20T08:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=80635"},"modified":"2013-06-20T10:50:01","modified_gmt":"2013-06-20T08:50:01","slug":"mtn-blackberry-goes-uncapped-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/80635-mtn-blackberry-goes-uncapped-again.html","title":{"rendered":"MTN BlackBerry goes uncapped again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a> has confirmed that its BlackBerry Absolute customers have been enjoying uncapped data without any additional charge.<\/p>\n<p>MTN introduced a 200MB fair use limit on its BlackBerry Internet Service (<a title=\"BIS\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/429993-BIS-BlackBerry-Internet-Service\">BIS<\/a>) in March 2013, aimed at stopping abuse on its BlackBerry network.<\/p>\n<p>However, towards the end of May 2013 MTN sent an SMS to its BlackBerry Absolute customers, informing them that it had \u201crestored your unlimited service\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ryan Gould\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/416980-Ryan-Gould\">Ryan Gould<\/a>, MTN SA\u2019s GM for brand and communications, confirmed that their BlackBerry Absolute customers have been enjoying a zero rated (free) unlimited experience when they purchase the Blackberry Absolute service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis means that with MTN\u2019s BlackBerry Absolute service, customers receive free uncapped data access until their next top-up anniversary date,\u201d said Gould.<\/p>\n<p>He added that it is important to note that after they have used 200MB, customers checking their data availability will see that it reflects zero MB remaining even though the service continues to function.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is to ensure that MTN BlackBerry customers get the best possible experience on our World class network.
