{"id":81091,"date":"2013-06-26T11:03:26","date_gmt":"2013-06-26T09:03:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=81091"},"modified":"2013-06-26T12:41:14","modified_gmt":"2013-06-26T10:41:14","slug":"mtn-data-price-reductions-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/81091-mtn-data-price-reductions-extended.html","title":{"rendered":"MTN data price reductions extended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a> has officially announced that it has extended its big mobile data sale until 30 September 2013.<\/p>\n<p>MTN launched its big data sale in March 2013, offering significant discounts on contract, top-up, and pre-paid mobile data bundles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe price plan reduction has proven to be sufficiently successful and we have decided to extend these data offerings to our customers until 30 September 2013,\u201d said <a title=\"Serame Taukobong\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/327180-Serame-Taukobong\">Serame Taukobong<\/a>, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN SA.<\/p>\n<p>MTN also announced that it is reducing the existing 500MB Internet bundle for this extension period from the usual R119 to R99.<\/p>\n<p>For the next 3 months MTN customers can continue to enjoy the following benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive 10MB free when they purchase a 10MB Internet bundle for R10;<\/li>\n<li>Received 25MB free when they purchase a 75MB Internet bundle for only R29;<\/li>\n<li>300MB Internet bundle has been reduced from R149 to R79;<\/li>\n<li>500MB Internet bundle has been reduced from R119 to R99;<\/li>\n<li>1GB Internet bundle has been reduced from R289 to R149; and<\/li>\n<li>2GB Internet bundle has been reduced from R389 to R245.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>MTN\u2019s contract customers will also continue to benefit from the following until the 30 September 2013:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pay only R49 for 500MB on a monthly basis;<\/li>\n<li>1GB price plan has been reduced from R99 to R79 per month;<\/li>\n<li>1GB TopUp plan costs R99, reduced from R129 every month;<\/li>\n<li>2GB plan has been reduced from R139 to R119 per month;
