{"id":82635,"date":"2013-07-21T11:04:31","date_gmt":"2013-07-21T09:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=82635"},"modified":"2013-07-22T09:01:32","modified_gmt":"2013-07-22T07:01:32","slug":"schools-to-get-tablets-from-anc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/82635-schools-to-get-tablets-from-anc.html","title":{"rendered":"Schools to get tablets from ANC?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a title=\"ANC\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/464137-African-National-Congress-ANC\">ANC<\/a> is considering supplying tablet PCs to public schools, sources have told the Sunday Times.<\/p>\n<p>This would be in a bid to prevent a repeat of the Limpopo textbook crisis, which marred the party&#8217;s reputation last year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, the idea for putting tablets in the hands of schools came from the ANC&#8217;s executive committee lekgotla taking place in Irene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the easiest way of resolving the textbook issue. In one tablet, you can download a number of books. It is also cheaper.
