{"id":8389,"date":"2009-06-12T00:05:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-11T22:05:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-06-12T00:05:00","modified_gmt":"2009-06-11T22:05:00","slug":"three-sabc-board-members-resign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/telecoms\/8389-three-sabc-board-members-resign.html","title":{"rendered":"Three SABC Board members resign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>They are: former presidential spokesman Bheki Khumalo, Andile Mbeki and Desmond Golding.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are mindful of the enormity of the challenges that are currently facing the SABC, they said in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are of the firm view that it is in the public interest to resign.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Accordingly, we have submitted our resignations to the office of the Minister of Communications earlier today (Thursday).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Their resignations come days after the Board&rsquo;s chairwoman Khanyisile Mkhonza resigned.<\/p>\n<p>She was replaced by fellow board member Ashwin Trikamjee.
