{"id":84563,"date":"2013-08-16T12:20:49","date_gmt":"2013-08-16T10:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=84563"},"modified":"2013-08-16T12:54:52","modified_gmt":"2013-08-16T10:54:52","slug":"e-tv-signs-with-sentech-for-dtt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/84563-e-tv-signs-with-sentech-for-dtt.html","title":{"rendered":"E-tv signs with Sentech for DTT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Free-to-view broadcaster <a title=\"e-tv\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313641-e-tv\">e-tv<\/a> Limited says it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with state owned transmission provider, <a title=\"Sentech\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/220208-Sentech\">Sentech<\/a>, to provide signal distribution for its digital terrestrial television (DTT) services.<\/p>\n<p>E-tv was granted a minimum of 50% of a DTT multiplex in terms of the regulations issued in December 2012 by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (<a title=\"Icasa\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226385-ICASA\">Icasa<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This will enable the company to launch multiple new channels on the DTT platform, it said.<\/p>\n<p>Group CEO of e.tv, <a title=\"Marcel Golding\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/479720-Marcel-Golding\">Marcel Golding<\/a> said: \u201cWe are pleased to have entered into this MoU with Sentech.
