Vodacom<\/a> is increasing the monthly data allowance of its subscribers on legacy data products by up to 500% – for free.<\/p>\n

Subscribers on legacy products are basically migrated to a much higher data package \u2013 3GB or 5GB \u2013 at the same price.<\/p>\n

The migration started in August, and according to the company’s estimates the process will be completed this week.<\/p>\n

This migration means that customers who signed up for legacy data products will now benefit from the current data promotion prices.<\/p>\n

The much higher monthly data allowances further means that these customers are less likely to go out of bundle, limiting the chance of data bill shock.<\/p>\n

It is understood that this additional value forms part of Vodacom’s drive to add more value to customers depending on their individual profiles.<\/p>\n

Vodacom spokesperson Nomsa Thusi<\/a> said that they are rewarding our loyal contract customers by proactively moving them to plans or services that offer them more value at no additional cost.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis way, they too can also enjoy great value as do customers who benefit from current promotional deals,\u201d said Thusi.<\/p>\n

Thusi explained that the additional value is based on a customer\u2019s usage and tenure, which means that the offer may be different for each individual customer.<\/p>\n

The following table provides an overview of the data increases, which range between 50% and 500%.<\/p>\n
