{"id":86121,"date":"2013-09-04T20:05:54","date_gmt":"2013-09-04T18:05:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=86121"},"modified":"2013-09-05T09:06:16","modified_gmt":"2013-09-05T07:06:16","slug":"samsung-galaxy-note-3-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/smartphones\/86121-samsung-galaxy-note-3-announced.html","title":{"rendered":"Samsung Galaxy Note 3 announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Samsung\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/333656-Samsung\">Samsung<\/a> has officially unveiled the <a title=\"Galaxy Note 3\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/557609-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3\">Galaxy Note 3<\/a> smartphone at IFA in Berlin, confirming many of the specifications that leaked ahead of the big reveal.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung said that the Galaxy Note 3 will launch from 25 September 2013.<\/p>\n<p>As rumoured, the device will have a 5.7-inch (or 5.68 before rounding, Samsung said) full HD display.<\/p>\n<p>It will also run the latest available version of <a title=\"Google\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/314567-Google\">Google<\/a>\u2019s mobile operating system, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.<\/p>\n<p>While it was rumoured that the Galaxy Note 3 would support LTE Advanced, Samsung announced that the device supports Category 4 LTE, and will work on any network in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The press release that accompanied the announcement of the device revealed that as with the Galaxy S4, the Note 3 will have a 3G-only and LTE model.<\/p>\n<p>The 3G model boasts an Octa core processor, while the LTE model will have a quad-core processor.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_86151\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Galaxy-Note-3-colour-range.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-86151\" class=\"size-full wp-image-86151\" alt=\"Galaxy Note 3 colour range\" src=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Galaxy-Note-3-colour-range.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"327\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-86151\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Galaxy Note 3 colour range<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Samsung\u2019s announcement focussed heavily on the new software features of the Galaxy Note, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Multi Window lets users work with two windows at the same time.
