{"id":88529,"date":"2013-10-08T22:02:13","date_gmt":"2013-10-08T20:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=88529"},"modified":"2013-10-09T09:06:47","modified_gmt":"2013-10-09T07:06:47","slug":"dstv-blue-loading-screen-call-centre-problems-explained","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/88529-dstv-blue-loading-screen-call-centre-problems-explained.html","title":{"rendered":"DStv blue loading screen, call centre problems explained"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The main reason some <a title=\"DStv\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/383647-DStv\">DStv<\/a> subscribers might be experiencing a loss of service is that <a title=\"MultiChoice\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/216214-MultiChoice\">MultiChoice<\/a> disconnects customers who are overdue on their payments this close to the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to a spokesperson for MultiChoice, who was responding to questions about <a title=\"DStv downtime \u2013 fix issued\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/88517-dstv-downtime-fix-issued.html\">frustrations raised on social media<\/a> about disconnections and the unavailability of the DStv call centre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf customers did not pay their accounts and have been disconnected, we ask them to please make the necessary payments urgently,\u201d MultiChoice said. \u201cThe quickest way would be to use internet banking or the self-service portal on DStv.com\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MultiChoice said that there is an auto-reconnect on these payment options.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA list of all the payment options is on DStv\u2019s website under self-service,\u201d MultiChoice said.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Some HD PVR 2P users affected by different issue<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the billing run, MultiChoice said that some HD PVR 2P users might be experiencing a loss of service.<\/p>\n<p>The pay TV operator did not say what was causing this loss of service.<\/p>\n<p>MultiChoice said that affected HD PVR 2P subscribers should follow the steps below to restore their service:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Reboot decoder<\/li>\n<li>PRESS and HOLD the following keys immediately: UHG, P+ and TV\/AUD<\/li>\n<li>Keep them pressed for 30\u201360 seconds until RESET scrolls across the front panel.
