{"id":88591,"date":"2013-10-09T11:35:11","date_gmt":"2013-10-09T09:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=88591"},"modified":"2013-10-09T11:53:01","modified_gmt":"2013-10-09T09:53:01","slug":"telkom-mobile-lte-200mbps-demo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/88591-telkom-mobile-lte-200mbps-demo.html","title":{"rendered":"Telkom Mobile LTE &#8211; 200Mbps demo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Telkom Mobile\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/515780-Telkom-Mobile\">Telkom Mobile<\/a>\u2019s <a title=\"Amith Maharaj\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/276004-Amith-Maharaj\">Amith Maharaj<\/a> showcased their release 9 LTE network at the 2013 MyBroadband Conference on 9 October 2013, with peak speeds exceeding 200Mbps.<\/p>\n<p>Telkom Mobile is rolling out a TDD LTE network using 2,300Mhz spectrum, which Maharaj said is enjoying increasing support globally.<\/p>\n<p>Maharaj added that they already have an Apple device using TDD LTE, which the company is currently testing on its network.<\/p>\n<p>In a live demonstration at the annual MyBroadband conference on 9 October 2013, Maharaj downloaded files from an FTP server at speeds between 150Mbps and 200Mbps.<\/p>\n<p>The speed peaked at well above 200Mbps on various occasions.
