href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/213919-Cell-C\">Cell C<\/a>\u2019s complaint with the <a title=\"Competition Commission\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/464875-Competition-Commission\">Competition Commission<\/a> appears to argue that the prices for on-network calls on Vodacom must be increased.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to argue that increasing prices would be a benefit to consumers,\u201d a Vodacom spokesperson told MyBroadband.<\/p>\n<p>This comes after Cell C CEO <a title=\"Alan Knott-Craig\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/224891-Alan-Knott-Craig-(Senior)\">Alan Knott-Craig<\/a> announced at the 2013 MyBroadband conference on Wednesday, 9 October 2013 that they had lodged a complaint with the Competition Commission against dominant mobile operators, Vodacom and MTN.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the 2013 MyBroadband Conference, Cell C CEO Alan Knott-Craig said that Vodacom and <a title=\"MTN\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/226943-MTN\">MTN<\/a> are abusing their dominant market positions with far lower on-net call rates.<\/p>\n<p>Knott-Craig vowed to fight against the unfair practices and poor policies in the country\u2019s telecoms space.<\/p>\n<p>In their statement, Vodacom concurred with MTN SA boss <a title=\"Zunaid Bulbulia\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/341385-Zunaid-Bulbulia\">Zunaid Bulbulia<\/a> who told conference attendees that lower on-network prices are a standard industry practice which even Cell C implements on its network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a standard practice worldwide for companies to offer their customers lower priced calls when those calls are to
