{"id":89351,"date":"2013-10-28T13:19:34","date_gmt":"2013-10-28T11:19:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=89351"},"modified":"2013-10-28T13:21:06","modified_gmt":"2013-10-28T11:21:06","slug":"internet-attacks-top-ports-countries-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/89351-internet-attacks-top-ports-countries-revealed.html","title":{"rendered":"Internet attacks: top ports, countries revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Akamai released its Second Quarter 2013 State of the Internet Report recently, showing that Port 443 (SSL [HTTPS]), Port 80 (WWW [HTTP]), and Port 445 (Microsoft-DS) were the most targeted ports for Internet attacks.<\/p>\n<p>The report, which is based on data gathered from Akamai\u2019s distributed agents deployed across the Internet that monitor attack traffic, further revealed that the majority of attack traffic originates from Indonesia and China.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Top countries from which attack traffic originates<\/h3>\n<p>The report revealed that Indonesia replaced China as the top producer of Internet attack traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia (38%) and China (33%) account for 71% of all Internet attack traffic globally.
