{"id":89493,"date":"2013-10-21T20:46:18","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T18:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=89493"},"modified":"2013-10-22T08:26:31","modified_gmt":"2013-10-22T06:26:31","slug":"bbm-for-android-iphone-arrives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/89493-bbm-for-android-iphone-arrives.html","title":{"rendered":"BBM for Android, iPhone arrives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"BlackBerry\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342709-BlackBerry\">BlackBerry<\/a> announced that it is resuming the rollout of <a title=\"BBM\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/378544-BBM-Blackberry-messenger\">BBM<\/a> for <a title=\"Android\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/221979-Google-Android\">Android<\/a> and <a title=\"iPhone\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/487844-iPhone\">iPhone<\/a> customers around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>BlackBerry said that people around the world will start seeing BBM in Google Play, the App Store and in select Samsung App Stores \u2013 where it will be free to download.<\/p>\n<p>BBM for Android will arrive in the Samsung App store first for local users. \u201cSamsung customers in Sub-Sahara Africa can download BBM today from the Samsung App store,\u201d BlackBerry said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201ciPhone and other Android users in Africa will be able to download the app in three days\u2019 time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BlackBerry provided the following guidance regarding the launch of BBM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download BBM \u2013 the easiest way is to visit BBM.com from your Android or iPhone browser*<\/li>\n<li>Once you install the app, open it, and enter your email address to hold your spot in line<\/li>\n<li>We will email you as soon as you reach the front of the line and can start using BBM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cOur team of developers and engineers has been working around the clock to bring you BBM \u2013 and make some upgrades while we\u2019re at it \u2013 and some incredible work has been done,\u201d said BlackBerry\u2019s <a title=\"Andrew Bocking\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/560786-Andrew-Bocking\">Andrew Bocking<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for your patience.
