Apple<\/a> has announced a refresh to its line of MacBook Pro notebook computers at its event in San Francisco, California on Tuesday, 22 October 2013.<\/p>\n

Both the 13-inch and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro received an update, but Apple\u2019s senior vice-president of worldwide marketing at Apple, Phil Schiller<\/a>, was silent on the non-Retina models.<\/p>\n

According to Schiller, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display includes Intel\u2019s Iris graphics and comes with PCI Express (PCIe) and solid state drives (SSDs).<\/p>\n

Its Wi-Fi capabilities also received an upgrade to 802.11ac.<\/p>\n

The base model of the 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 2.4GHz dual-core CPU, 4GB RAM, and a 128GB SSD. It is set to retail for $1,299 in the US and starts shipping today (22 October 2013), Schiller said.<\/p>\n

The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is powered by Intel\u2019s Iris integrated GPU, with some models offering a GeForce GT 750M.<\/p>\n

Its base model is a 2.0GHz quad-core Intel i7, with 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD – it is set to retail for $1,999 from today.<\/p>\n
