CEO at Electronic Tolling Collection<\/a>, the company providing collection services for the e-tolls project in Gauteng, Salahdin Yacoubi<\/a> has resigned after nearly five years with the company.<\/p>\n

Jamie Surkont has taken over as CEO of ETC, the company set up in 2009 to deliver a 10 year contract to provide toll collection services across 185 km of renovated highways in Gauteng province.<\/p>\n

It is not yet clear why Yacoubi resigned, as messages were directed towards Surkont\u2019s email address.<\/p>\n

ETC is a joint venture between black empowered company, Traffic Management Technologies (TMT) and Austrian e-tolling company, Kapsch TrafficCom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Surkont was previously general manager for Intelleigent Transport Solutions at Traffic Management Technologies.<\/p>\n

According to Fin24<\/a> National roads agency Sanral<\/a>, Yacoubi\u2019s resignation would have no impact on its contract with ETC.<\/p>\n

\u201cSanral has a contract with ETC and the resignation of its CEO has no impact on that contract. The work ETC is doing for Sanral will continue,\u201d Sanral\u2019s Vusi Mona<\/a> said.<\/p>\n
