On 30 October 2013 MWEB<\/a> announced that it signed an Access Point Name (APN) agreement with Cell C<\/a> to offer its own customised mobile data packages to its customers.<\/p>\n

MWEB’s prices are in line with those of Vodacom<\/a>, MTN<\/a>, and Cell C, raising questions about why consumers will sign up for this product.<\/p>\n

MWEB explained that its month to month and 12 month deals are attractive, considering that its competitors offer 24 month contract terms at these prices.<\/p>\n

MWEB added that they also have great launch specials for existing MWEB customers.<\/p>\n

“MWEB has a unique advantage in that we can look after all your internet needs, fixed, mobile, or WiFi, making it easier for our customers from a service, support and set up perspective,” MWEB said.<\/p>\n

MWEB also downplayed concerns about Cell C’s network. “MWEB has been reselling Cell C for close to a year now and we have not experienced any “more” coverage issues on Cell C versus the other mobile operators,” said MWEB.<\/p>\n

“We do not believe coverage is an issue at all, in fact we are very happy with the Cell C network and how they listen to customer queries and work with us to resolve them if necessary.”<\/p>\n
