Telkom started to upgrade existing ADSL customers to higher line speeds on Monday 11 November 2013. 1Mbps, 2Mbps, and 4Mbps ADSL products are increased to 2Mbps, 4Mbps, and 10Mbps respectively.<\/p>\n

Telkom said that the migration is taking place in a phased approach, with 4Mbps upgrades to 10Mbps happening this week.<\/p>\n

2Mbps DSL subscribers will be bumped up to 4Mbps next week, with 1Mbps upgrades to 2Mbps starting in January 2014.<\/p>\n

The delay in the 1Mbps upgrades are related to Telkom’s network freeze over the December 2013\/January 2014 period.<\/p>\n

The expected timeframe for each migration category is reflected in the table below.<\/p>\n
