{"id":93471,"date":"2013-12-11T14:11:50","date_gmt":"2013-12-11T12:11:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=93471"},"modified":"2013-12-11T14:12:59","modified_gmt":"2013-12-11T12:12:59","slug":"double-opt-in-subscriptions-welcome-waspa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/93471-double-opt-in-subscriptions-welcome-waspa.html","title":{"rendered":"Double opt-in subscriptions welcome: WASPA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Wireless Applications Service Providers\u2019 Association (WASPA) welcomed MTN and Cell C\u2019s implementation of a double opt-in system for all services offered by WASPs.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement issued on Wednesday, 11 December 2013, WASPA chairman Casper de Villiers was quoted as saying that the double opt-in process has always been part of the WASPA code of conduct.<\/p>\n<p>However, until recently only Vodacom has supported the double opt-in requirement with its own independent system, De Villiers said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that MTN and Cell C have also put in place a double opt-in [system] to support the process.
